January Events

January 13th - ECC  Glass Blowing and General Membership Meeting

We have done glass blowing the past couple of years as a great winter event.  People have requested that we do this again this year and there are several new members who have not attended in the past.  There is no cost for this event unless you make something, then you only pay for what you make!  Items you can make are usually in the $30 - $60 range depending on what you pick.  Or you can just watch and have a good time learning about glass!

February Events

February 3rd - ECC Chocolate Making

This should be a really fun adventure for us.  Todd Hodgen and Margaret Wojcicki have planned a great afternoon for us to learn how to make chocolate candy, drink wine, eat appetizers and just have a fun experience.  It is a 3-hour class, limited to 15 people and you get to take home a nice box of chocolate candy that you have made.  Todd has gotten us a very special price on this class, at $30 per person.  I have looked at several other places and all have started at $60 per person and I thought that was a little steep.  So, thanks so much to Todd & Margaret for planning this.

Location:       The Chocolate Man, The Town Center at Lake Forest Park
                        17171 Bothell Way NE A130
                        Lake Forest Park, WA 98155
                        (206) 365-2025

Time:             1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Cost:              $30 per person – everything is included in that price (chocolate, wine, munchies, etc.)

RSVP:            The first 15 people who RSVP to Lorrie Montgomery are on the list.  She will then start a waiting list just in case there                                            are cancellations.  We just need to make sure we fill the class as it is a fixed price!

Dinner:           We thought we’d try to find a place somewhere close to have dinner after our adventure…if anyone is still hungry by that time!

February 17th  - Tacoma Corvette Club Open House

Dennis and Lorrie will be leading a group down to the Open House.  For those who wish to attend with us, we’ll meet at 11:15 at the Park & Ride off of I-405 and SE 8th in South Bellevue.

This is always a fun event, with great food and a chance to visit with members of other Corvette Clubs in the area.  And a great way to promote Eastside Corvette Club!

TCC serves a great BBQ Lunch which is free.  Lorrie has volunteered ECC to provide some food for this, and will have more details as she hears back from the folks at TCC.  It will either be some salads, or desserts, or maybe pop and water.  Stay tuned!
